 The Golden Egg

A farmer had a goose that laid one golden egg a day. He would sell the golden eggs, and they enjoyed a comfortable life. However, the farmer became greedy and wanted more than one egg a day. His wife foolishly agreed to his idea. The next day the farmer cut open the goose after it laid the golden egg. He could only find blood and guts. He realised his mistake. He now had no source of income, and the couple became poorer every day.


Moral: Think before you act.

शेंर और चुहा कहानी

शेर और चूहे की कहानी इस प्रकार हैं:-  एक बार जंगल में एक शेर सो रहा था, तब एक छोटा सा चूहा उसके पास आया और डरकर भागने लगा.   शेर जाग गया और गुस्से में चूहे को अपने पंजे में जकड़ लिया.   चूहे ने विनती की, "मुझे छोड़ दो, मैं तुम्हारा कर्ज़ चुका दूंगा".   शेर को यह सोचकर मज़ा आया कि चूहा कभी उसकी मदद कर सकता है, इसलिए उसने उसे जाने दिया.   कुछ दिनों बाद, शेर शिकारियों के जाल में फँस गया.   शेर की दहाड़ सुनकर चूहा याद आया कि शेर ने उसे छोड़ दिया था.   चूहा दौड़कर रस्सी को कुतरने लगा और शेर को आज़ाद कर दिया.   चूहे ने कहा, "तुम हंसे थे जब मैंने कहा था कि मैं तुम्हारा पैसा चुका दूंगा, अब तुम देख रहे हो कि एक चूहा भी शेर की मदद कर सकता है".   इस कहानी का नैतिक यह है कि दया अपना प्रतिफल लाती है और कोई इतना छोटा नहीं है कि वह किसी बड़े की मदद न कर सके.

 . The Pig and the Sheep A pig found its way into a meadow where a shepherd was grazing a herd of sheep. The shepherd caught the pig and carried him off toward the butcher shop when it started crying loud and struggled to get free. The sheep told the pig, "The shepherd catches us regularly and drags us off like that, and we don't make any noise." The pig replied, "My case and yours are altogether different; he catches and takes you to shave off the wool, but he wants me to be killed for making the bacon." Moral: Don’t compare two situations without understanding them.
